ZMI Services is a licensed and insured Private Detective Agency located in the Metrowest area of Massachusetts. ZMI Services is also certified in Arson Investigations, CAI. We have handled hundreds of assignments ranging from surveillance work to statements and we take pride in each case we work, giving each client our best efforts. We operate ethically and within the boundary of law. Insurance binder, and license information provided prior to service contract.

ZMI Services is a small, tightly woven 'team unit' comprised of female investigators. Investigations do not require brawn or overpowering physical strength, therefore we focus no efforts on those tasks and are able to expend all our energy on conspiring and deploying our own proven methods. We have found our creative procedures to be very effective when applied to outside business practices.

Establishing a client account at ZMI Services does not hold you obligated to retain any of the investigative services we offer. You will receive a welcome email one time only and no further communication until you open a case, or submit a support ticket.

All records and financial information is encrypted on our server thus assuring a safe working environment.

ZMI Services considers the privacy of our clients to be of utmost importance and works to protect it. We do not allow any client data to be available to third parties, or any entity outside of ZMI Services. We do not sell lists, nor generate any third-party revenue from the data that is collected. We do not share any client data with anyone, for any reason!

Client companies may have access to case data for their employees or superiors who are granted special access permission (by the ZMI Supervisor) in order to manage them.

ZMI Services regularly analyzes its data pertaining to our cases in order to formulate enhancements for the benefit of our clients, and to measure overall effectiveness.

ZMI Investigators, and other staff personnel can place documents into a client account, and review contents. Internal employee regulations concerning our Privacy Policy includes discussion of client accounts and stresses the confidentiality of our data.

ZMI Services protects client accounts and financial data utilizing SSL, (secure sockets layer, https). This method of encryption assures a client has a secure working environment with our private web server. We operate on a dedicated IP, and backup our server daily. When you login to your secure client account (note the URL, https) this confirms a secure connection.

Can we audio tape in Massachusetts? ONLY with consent from all parties (video tape, YES publicly)

Mass. Ann. Laws ch. 272 , § 99: It is a crime to record any conversation, whether oral or wire, without the consent of all parties in Massachusetts. The penalty for violating the law is a fine of up to $10,000 and a jail sentence of up to five years.

Disclosure of the contents of an illegally recorded conversation, when accompanied by the knowledge that it was obtained illegally, is a misdemeanor that can be punished with a fine of up to $5,000 and imprisonment for up to two years. Civil damages are expressly authorized for the greater of actual damages, $100 for each day of violation or $1,000 plus punitive damages, attorney fees also are recoverable.

ZMI Services utilizes pre-text measures when conducting certain types of investigations. When interviewing a claimant or witness not all persons will necessarily be cooperative thus hampering an investigation. We have no authority to force anyone to speak with us or to comply with any requests made. ZMI Services cannot guarantee a claimant or subject will be active during a physical surveillance period and that during a mobile surveillance will not be lost due to traffic situations, weather conditions, or some unforeseen event. Our policy is not to conduct surveillance during moderate to severe snow storms (unless requested) due to the likelihood a claimant will not be active until afterward, to then either plow, shovel or perform some type of cleanup. ZMI Services reserves the right to decline services to any person or business entity for any reason, and to remove client accounts at anytime without notification.
