Mission - We are committed to the role of objective observer. ZMI Services is a licensed and fully insured Private Detective Agency located in the Metrowest area of Massachusetts. ZMI Services is also certified in Arson Investigations and a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators. We have handled hundreds of assignments ranging from surveillance work to statements. We take pride in each case we work and give each client our best efforts. We operate ethically and within the boundary of law, no exceptions. Insurance binder, and license information provided prior to service contract.
Registering for a Client Account at ZMI does not hold you to retain our investigative services. You will receive a welcome email one time only and no further communication until you purchase case services, or submit a support ticket. All case information including our personal information, and credit card information is encrypted on our server thus assuring a safe working environment. ZMI considers the privacy of our Clients' to be of the utmost importance and works to protect it. ZMI does not allow any client data to be available to third parties, or any entity outside of ZMI. We do not sell lists, nor generate any third-party revenue from the data that is generated from this website. We do not share data of any client with anyone, for any reason! Client companies have access to case data for their employees who are granted online access to ZMI's client documents, in order to manage access to those case documents. ZMI regularly analyzes data pertaining to cases in order to improve our services, plan site enhancements for the benefit of our clientele, and to measure overall site effectiveness. ZMI investigators, and other members of the staff can place documents into a Client Account, and review the contents. Internal employee regulations concerning our Privacy Policy includes discussion of client accounts and stresses the confidentiality of client data. ZMI protects client account and financial data utilizing an SSL Certificate. (secure sockets layer) This method of encryption assures a client has a secure and private connection between their web browser and our server. We operate on a dedicated IP, and backup our server daily. (When you login to your secure account note the url, https) this confirms your login is secure.
Mass. Ann. Laws ch. 272 , § 99: It is a crime to record any conversation, whether oral or wire, without the consent of all parties in Massachusetts. The penalty for violating the law is a fine of up to $10,000 and a jail sentence of up to five years. Disclosure of the contents of an illegally recorded conversation, when accompanied by the knowledge that it was obtained illegally, is a misdemeanor that can be punished with a fine of up to $5,000 and imprisonment for up to two years. Civil damages are expressly authorized for the greater of actual damages, $100 for each day of violation or $1,000. Punitive damages and attorney fees also are recoverable. ZMI utilizes pre-text measures while conducting certain case investigations. When interviewing a Claimant or Witness not all persons will be cooperative thus hampering an investigation. ZMI has no authority to force anyone to speak with us or comply with a request for a statement. ZMI cannot guarantee a claimant will be active during a physical surveillance and that during a mobile surveillance a claimant will not be lost due to traffic situations, or weather conditions. ZMI's policy is not to conduct surveillance during severe snow storms due to the likelihood a claimant will wait until afterward to plow or shovel.
