Release

Instrument signed by an insured or a third party Claimant relieving the insurance carrier of any further Liability (or any Liability at all) with respect to a specific claim. An "information release" is the written authorization given by a person permitting the sharing or transfer of his or her confidential or protected records to the bearer of the release.
